Online registration will begin on Friday, September 13th and end at 11:59 pm on Monday, September 16th.

Volunteering at the Blood Drive

Each participating organization in the Traditions level of involvement must require 15% of their membership to volunteer for a 2 hour shift at the blood drive. To ensure the efficiency of volunteers, a student may not volunteer on the same day after they donated blood. For example, you can volunteer in the morning and then donate later that day but you can’t volunteer on the same day after you have donated.

To ensure a smooth blood drive, it is imperative that volunteers arrive on time for their scheduled check-in time. In order to receive on time points for check-in, the volunteer must bring his/her volunteer appointment card to the blood drive at his/her scheduled time. This person may check-in within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. For example, if his/her check-in time is 1:00 p.m., he or she may check-in between 12:55 p.m. and 1:05 p.m.

If a participating organization or Traditions grouping provides anywhere under 100% of their required blood drive volunteers they will receive 0 points.

Satellite Blood Drives

These blood drives, sponsored by various organizations, allow for friends, family, and alumni to donate! People who donate blood at the satellite drive locations DO count as donors for the participating organizations and/or Traditions groupings. There will be a sign-in sheet at each blood drive.

Liaisons will be given the full list of satellite drives participating in our event. Only these will be allowed to contribute to points! For more information, see Satellite Drives.
